Senior Software Engineer

You will join Relativity's Matter Administration department focused on helping customers grow eDiscovery practices and businesses on the Relativity platform. The team delivers solutions to boost productivity of administrators, simplify configuration, and improve system preparation for matter review. The role involves working on a greenfield product fully owned by the team, from implementation using .NET to deployment via GitHub Actions and monitoring through New Relic.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of experience in software development of commercial-grade systems using C#
• Experience developing cloud scalable solutions using Cloud Native Patterns (Azure preferred)
• Experience with various scalable database systems
• Ability and ambition to build advanced cloud DevOps mindset including CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Harness, LaunchDarkly) with mature observability
• Ability to build mature deployment and release solutions
• Understanding and following software engineering best practices: unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Experience working in an agile software team, including mentoring, feature leadership, and cross-group collaboration
• Fluency in English
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for code generation, refactoring, review, technical design, solution exploration, documentation, planning, and critical evaluation of AI output

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Pulumi)
• Experience with observability frameworks and solutions (e.g., New Relic, Grafana)
• Experience with web development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue)
• Experience with .NET Core development

• Contribute to a Scrum team throughout all phases of a service lifecycle from conception through design, development, testing, deployment, and operation
• Architect and design performant, scalable, and secure software
• Apply object-oriented analysis, design, and programming using SOLID principles and design patterns in C# and TypeScript/JavaScript
• Provide technical guidance to the software development team
• Participate in code reviews
• Conduct unit and integration testing, static analysis, and develop test strategies
• Recommend and drive improvements in software development processes
• Identify, document, automate, and engineer processes for repetitive tasks
• Contribute to and mature automated deployment/upgrade CI/CD workflows
• Use monitoring and observability tools to proactively identify and fix problems
• Improve software quality and share design and implementation knowledge
• Troubleshoot issues, fix defects, and respond to client-specific problems
• Provide technical guidance through education and coaching
• Participate in regular on-call technical support shifts as second line of support
