AI Software Solutions Engineer

The Software Team at Intel develops AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services for client and data center software. The team collaborates with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners, and OEMs, delivering specialized NPU IP for AI PCs and GPU IP for various market segments. It includes hardware and software engineering experts responsible for IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms supporting CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmaps, including integrated and discrete graphics.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in AI, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• 4+ years experience with Bachelor's degree, 3+ years with Master's degree, 1+ year with PhD.
• Proficiency in Python, including advanced experience with PyTorch and OOP.
• Advanced knowledge in AI inference and hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs).
• Demonstrated ability to design highly optimized software and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with a proactive approach.
• Experience working in Linux environments from a user perspective.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work globally across diverse groups and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Profiling ability and performance optimizations focus.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering practices and open-source programming experience.
• Experience with GPU programming and performance optimizations.
• Understanding of AI neural network, parallel and distributed programming concepts.
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box in solving technical challenges.

• Collaborate with engineering teams and external partners to develop AI software solutions leveraging Intel products.
• Research technical trends and utilize domain expertise to prototype innovative AI solutions.
• Optimize AI model performance through expertise in frameworks, algorithms, and hardware.
• Research, develop, and adjust AI models, code, and parameters to enhance performance and address technical challenges.
• Partner with AI algorithm and framework engineers to optimize end-to-end AI models for Intel hardware features.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing technical enabling and consultation.
• Work with product development teams to accelerate and optimize future products by leading application pre-enabling tasks and product hardening.
• Deliver competitive and differentiated benchmarks and identify key workloads to be integrated into product requirements.
