Senior Manager Infrastructure (Kubernetes / Cloud)

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 5 years with an Advanced Degree, or 2 years with a PhD, or 11+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred: 9+ years with Bachelor's, 7+ years with Advanced Degree, or 3+ years with PhD.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of directly related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, observability tools, data analytics, and incident management.
• Minimum 5 years of System Administration experience.
• At least 5 years in Container and Cloud (AWS & GCP) focusing on DevOps and service-based systems engineering.
• Minimum 4 years hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals.
• Minimum 2 years experience with AWS/GCP.
• Minimum 3 years scripting experience (Shell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, YAML).
• Minimum 2 years experience with microservices traffic routing (Istio ServiceMesh).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools (helm, kubeadm, CSI, CNI).
• Experience with CI/CD or GitOps pipeline architecture (ArgoCD, Code Fresh, Jenkins).
• Working knowledge of monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, Netcool, Humio.
• Exposure or interest in AI platforms (OpenAI, Claude) for AI-driven automation.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts.

• Manage a team of system engineers focused on Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies.
• Support critical container infrastructure and ensure stability of services through maintenance activities.
• Engage in automation activities, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and remediation.
• Manage infrastructure life cycle and production support of container, cloud technologies, and orchestration platforms.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive observability strategy.
• Leverage data analytics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Drive initiatives to enhance IT infrastructure resilience, scalability, and security.
• Provide leadership to attract, motivate, and develop talent; mentor and coach teams.
• Balance leading a team and engaging directly with work to accomplish objectives.
• Facilitate participation of team members to meet objectives in line with standards and guidelines.
• Operate in complex, highly secure, and highly available operations environments.
• Communicate effectively and coach support team members.
• Partner with Platform, Engineering, and Delivery Teams to deliver infrastructure support.
• Work with geographically distributed teams on technical challenges and process improvements.
• Manage security remediation processes including vulnerability assessment and patch management.
• Adhere to ITIL practices such as Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management.
• Participate in on-call support for infrastructure and systems.
