Data Solution Architect

Scalo is a company offering data-related services with a focus on complex data solutions across various industries and delivery models.

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture roles
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Solution Architect or Lead Data Engineer with architectural responsibility
• Documented experience designing complex solutions in various industries and delivery models
• Very good communication skills in English (C1+) and Polish, both spoken and written
• Ability to translate high-level business goals into scalable, production data architectures
• Strong experience defining solution scope, delivery model, high-level schedule, and budget assumptions
• Confidence in conducting technical deep-dives, client workshops, moderating discussions, and building consensus among stakeholders
• Experience working in consulting or software services environments
• Expert experience with Databricks and distributed processing based on Spark
• Practical experience designing and implementing large data platforms
• Strong knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS or Azure) and working knowledge of the other
• Practical knowledge of data modeling (dimensional model, lakehouse, medallion architecture)
• Experience designing data platforms in regulated environments (preferred: banking / fintech / insurance / energy)
• High awareness of security and costs: cloud environment sizing, workload optimization, storage tiering, cloud security

Nice to have:

• Commercial experience with Snowflake
• Knowledge of industries: renewable energy, FIS/Banking/Fintech
• German language skills in spoken and written form
• Experience with Java, Scala, or .NET

• Build trust through deep understanding of domain, technology, solution logic, and clear communication
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Scalo's Data offerings and competitive advantages
• Create winning solution concepts, offers, and estimates including scope, schedule, budget, and delivery milestones
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Solution Consultants, Delivery Managers, Technology Experts) to prepare executable offers
• Participate in discovery conversations and workshops with clients and internal experts to understand business goals, challenges, and user needs
• Present solutions and offers to clients, adjusting scope and structure according to budget, priorities, and expected business value
• Actively engage in pre-sales, consulting, and early post-sales activities to support ongoing cooperation, credibility, and business growth
