QA Engineer

At CKSource we produce software components that other developers use to build their applications (WYSIWYG editor, file manager, document converters, etc.). Our flagship product is CKEditor 5 – an open-source, modern TypeScript rich text editor with custom data model and virtual DOM.

• 2+ years in QA with hands-on automation experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid practical JavaScript skills including async code, HTTP clients, and adapting existing code.
• Hands-on experience writing E2E tests in modern frameworks (Cypress or Playwright).
• Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, Bruno, or Insomnia; ability to read API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) and write scripted API tests.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Node.js to run services locally and debug containerized environments.
• Solid understanding of modern web apps including SPA, REST APIs, HTTP, JWT, and WebSockets.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools for test generation, edge case analysis, or task automation.
• Fluent command of Polish and good working proficiency in English (at least B2+ level).
• Curiosity and critical thinking; ability to investigate problems beyond surface level.

Nice to have:

• Projects portfolio on GitHub.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).

Your Role:

• Join the QA team to maintain the quality of products within the Cloud Services project and the Customer Portal platform.
• Own end-to-end testing of complex back-end and cloud services running on AWS, Docker, and VM setups.
• Design, write, and adapt automation scripts for API and environment testing across SaaS and on-premises deployments.
• Validate integrations between CKEditor Cloud Services and components like CKEditor 5 and Customer Portal.
• Run performance, stress, and regression testing on CKEditor ecosystem services.
• Partner with developers to reproduce, triage, and resolve customers' technical and integration issues.
• Proactively identify quality risks and propose improvements to test coverage, tooling, and CI reliability.
