Wordpress / PHP Developer

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with WordPress and PHP
• Very good knowledge of PHP (7.x / 8.x) in the context of WordPress
• Very good knowledge of WordPress including Hooks API (actions/filters), Custom Post Types/taxonomies, REST API, WP_Query, metadata, and custom fields
• Experience in creating custom plugins and themes
• Ability to write clean, readable, and secure code
• Knowledge of MySQL and query optimization
• Understanding of security threats such as XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection
• Experience working with Git
• Independence and responsibility for assigned modules

Nice to have:

• Experience with large projects (high traffic/many integrations)
• Experience optimizing WordPress performance
• Basic knowledge of Linux/server environments
• Experience with Docker
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript (Node.js / Nest.js)

• Develop and maintain WordPress-based websites and applications (mainly custom development)
• Create and develop dedicated themes and plugins
• Integrate with external systems (REST API, webhooks, payments, CRM, marketing automation)
• Co-develop and optimize data structures and queries (MySQL)
• Ensure performance optimization (caching, backend optimization, query minimization)
• Ensure application security (data validation, secure queries, protection against XSS/CSRF)
• Participate in technical analyses, estimations, and sprint planning
• Create technical documentation and participate in code reviews
• Work according to established development standards
