Firmware Validation Engineer

At the Data Center Group (DCG) of Intel, the team delivers Xeon-based and custom x86-based solutions for general-purpose compute, web services, HPC, and AI-accelerated systems. The group focuses on business strategy, product management, ecosystem development, and financial performance to lead the data center segment with workload-driven products and partner collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in software or firmware validation with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years with a Master's degree.
• Practical knowledge and hands-on expertise in Python scripting for validation.
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
• Familiarity with software validation process and test scope planning.
• Demonstrated capability in firmware debugging within complex hardware-software environments.

• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Proven problem-solving skills with disciplined task execution.
• Experience providing customer support and resolving firmware-related issues.
• Passion for learning and employing emerging tools or methodologies in firmware validation.

• Design and develop software validation environments to test firmware functionality.
• Create validation plans and methodologies to ensure comprehensive coverage of system and subsystem requirements.
• Execute validation activities, analyze results, and debug failures to ensure functionality aligns with specifications.
• Identify root causes of issues, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Write and maintain validation standards, procedures, and documentation.
• Assess new validation methods, tools, and technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
• Provide support and expertise for customer-reported issues, ensuring timely resolution.
