EMEA IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Our company is currently undergoing significant transformation across the EMEA region, operating six regional data centers supporting test environments. We are moving toward a unified, global operating model to strengthen internal knowledge, improve collaboration between regional and global teams, increase efficiency, reduce duplication, and provide consistent, scalable support worldwide. The EMEA Data Centre Platform Team supports 6 Data Centers across EMEA and aims to deliver a first-class solution for MetLife.

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in data centre migration design and implementation, including end-to-end planning and delivery strategy execution
• Strong knowledge of system administration, software development, networking, and cloud technologies
• Solid understanding of core IT architecture principles and methodologies
• Hands-on experience with micro segmentation, Cisco networking, VMware virtualisation, SAN (storage), fabric switching, Citrix, Netscaler load balancing and access gateway, and data centre rack design including power and infrastructure requirements
• Strong analytical skills to assess complex systems, identify risks, and solve technical challenges
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership and strategic thinking abilities to provide technical direction and support long-term infrastructure planning
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• High attention to detail with focus on quality and documentation standards
• Experience working within global and cross-functional teams
• Proactive attitude with strong sense of ownership and a “can-do” mindset

• Assist in the design, implementation, and support of scalable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure solutions across networks, servers, and storage within MetLife’s EMEA data centres
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints for networks, servers, and storage
• Evaluate, select, and integrate new technology solutions ensuring they meet performance and security standards
• Lead infrastructure-related projects from conception to completion
• Implement security policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Ensure all system designs meet required regulatory standards
• Monitor system performance, manage capacity, and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with project managers, business leaders, and IT professionals to align infrastructure with business goals
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure processes and standards
• Develop and lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning
