Business Analyst (banking)

We’re supporting a critical European transformation initiative within the programme focused on the wind-down of a German entity and the migration of operations into France. This is a high-impact, multi-layered change effort involving clients, platforms, products, and regulatory frameworks. You’ll join a distributed, international team within Global Payment Systems, working across multiple locations.

Core experience:

• Proven background in large-scale transformation programmes
• Strong Business Analysis expertise (this is not a technical analyst role)
• Experience in banking, ideally within payments and/or cards
• Ability to break down requirements into small, deliverable user stories

Ways of working:

• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence
• Agile delivery (Kanban, Sprints, iterative releases)
• Comfortable working closely with Programme Managers and Scrum Masters

Technical understanding (not a dev role):

• Basic SQL knowledge (ability to run and create scripts)
• Confidence working alongside technical teams and translating business needs into solutions

• Map, analyse, and improve client journeys and business processes
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories
• Drive requirements elicitation through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder collaboration
• Partner with technology teams, solution architects, and Scrum teams to deliver iterative releases
• Support data migration, system transitions, and regulatory alignment
• Ensure alignment with the wider programme strategy and delivery roadmap
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership
