Cloud Network Architect/Engineer

PwC is a global leader in cloud services supporting digital transformation worldwide. The Cloud & Digital team in PwC Poland delivers innovative cloud solutions including Cloud Strategy, Cloud Migrations, Data Engineering, AI, DevOps, Application Modernization, and Cloud Native Development.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a network architect or engineer, especially in cloud projects.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, multicast, network virtualization (VXLAN, SD-WAN).
• Practical experience with cloud networks, especially GCP (VPC, Interconnect, VPN, Cloud Load Balancing, Private Service Connect), and also Azure and/or AWS.
• Knowledge of Data Center network architecture and ability to design on-premises to cloud hybrid integration.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices: NGFW, IDS/IPS, encryption, microsegmentation, Zero Trust.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD tools.
• Active use of AI tools to enhance work quality and speed.
• Ability to communicate with clients, present architectural solutions, explain complex network concepts in business terms, and build trust as a technology advisor.
• Proactive, open to new challenges, willing to expand beyond networking into security, data, GenAI, or broader cloud architecture.
• Fluent communication in Polish and English (minimum B2).

Nice to have:

• Experience with network solutions in Azure (Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall) or AWS (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, AWS Network Firewall).
• Knowledge of SD-WAN solutions (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware) and cloud integration.
• Experience with Data Center networks – spine-leaf architecture, Cisco ACI/NXOS, Network Fabric.
• Certifications: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect, Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent.
• Consulting or project experience with direct client contact.
• Basic knowledge of cloud security topics (Security Command Center, Chronicle, SIEM/SOAR).

• Design corporate-class cloud network architectures for clients focusing on security, performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Participate in transforming traditional IT infrastructures using Cloud solutions.
• Design and implement network solutions in GCP: VPC, Shared VPC, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud VPN, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud CDN, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, Private Service Connect, Network Connectivity Center.
• Build and verify network architecture in multi-cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS) and hybrid-cloud environments, integrating with on-premises networks and Data Centers.
• Design network security solutions: Google Security Operations, Cloud Armor, NGFW (e.g., Palo Alto in cloud), Cloud IDS, hierarchical firewall policies, Zero Trust Network Access.
• Support cloud platform construction (including Landing Zone / Cloud Foundation) from a network perspective.
• Plan and execute workload migrations to the cloud, including connectivity design, latency optimization, and traffic engineering.
• Implement network solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Actively use AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) for automation, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvement.
• Conduct workshops, presentations, and architectural sessions with clients, presenting and defending design decisions to technical and business audiences.
• Analyze and assess client architectural solutions and recommend, design, and implement necessary changes.
• Create technical documentation (HLD, LLD, network diagrams).
