Backup and DR Engineer

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT
• At least 2 years of experience as Backup Engineer / BAKENG
• Higher education (bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years of studies confirmed by diploma)
• Commvault or Veeam certification
• Practical experience with enterprise backup/restore/DR solutions
• Experience administering backup environments integrated with virtual infrastructure
• Experience with on-prem and Cloud backups and restores
• Knowledge of data replication and Disaster Recovery services
• Experience cooperating with multiple IT support groups
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and ITIL processes (change/configuration/release management)
• Good work organization and priority setting skills
• Proactive approach and ability to work well in a team
• Communication skills and independence
• Ability to adapt to a dynamically changing technological environment

Nice to have:

• Experience with backup of Red Hat OpenShift and containers
• Experience with Microsoft 365 backups
• Experience with Zerto replication
• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call duties

• Administration of enterprise-class backup/restore and Disaster Recovery solutions
• Management of backups, restores, and data replication
• Maintenance and development of DR environments
• Diagnostics and troubleshooting related to backup and restore
• Monitoring environment and analyzing alerts
• Patch management and environment optimization
• Capacity planning and performance tuning
• Implementing best practices and security standards
• Updating technical documentation and operational procedures
• Executing changes according to ITIL/change management processes
• Collaborating with 2nd and 3rd line support teams
• Participating in project and coordination meetings
• Supporting other IT teams in backup/DR area
