Kafka Expert (Senior/Staff)

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka administration and ecosystem
• Ability to lead Kafka consulting and trainings
• Experience in technical pre-sales and business stakeholder communication
• Autonomy in project delivery
• Readiness to represent the company at global events
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Very good knowledge of Ansible
• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Polish language proficiency

Nice to have:

• Confluent Certified Administrator or Developer for Apache Kafka
• Hands-on experience with Confluent Platform
• Knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Amazon CDK)
• Experience with Grafana
• Experience with MLOps and/or DevSecOps
• Experience with JVM applications
• Management of multi-node clusters
• Experience using AI in software development and deployment
• Engagement in IT community (blogging, speaking, open-source involvement)
• Having a pet project

• Perform Apache Kafka administration and performance tuning
• Lead Kafka consulting and Kafka trainings
• Conduct technical pre-sales activities and communicate directly with business stakeholders
• Deliver projects autonomously
• Represent SoftwareMill at global events such as London Current and Kafka Summit
• Conduct demos and workshops with customers both online and on-site
• Work with Kubernetes and Docker
• Use Ansible for automation
• Deploy to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure
• Stay updated with industry trends
