The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska includes over 100 IT specialists. The financial services industry operates in a challenging environment due to global economic pressures, increasing regulatory and capital requirements, and significant operational and technological changes. As FCU Technology, we provide innovative technological solutions, data analytics and consulting services for global PwC clients, responding to key challenges in the area of Anti Financial Crime (Anti Money Laundering, Combating Terrorism Financing, Fraud Risk Management, FATCA and implementation of financial sanctions, etc.). PwC in Poland has offices in 7 cities and a Financial Crime Unit in Gdańsk and Warsaw, two Shared Services Centres in Katowice and Opole and a branch of PwC IT Services in Lublin. Polish PwC companies employ over 7000 people, including nearly 2000 in technology teams.
Wymagania
- Over 10 years' experience in data/business analytics, data engineering, or data modeling project delivery, preferably for Financial Services sector.
- More than 5 years of experience in scaling and managing a team of 6+ persons.
- Demonstrated sales acumen with experience in developing data-driven strategies to drive business growth (minimum 2 years).
- Advanced negotiation skills for managing project timelines and deliverables both internally and externally.
- Proven experience balancing personal project responsibilities, managing and leading a team often working on separate projects, and actively contributing to business development of the wider Technology team.
- Ability to identify and address client needs and develop and maintain meaningful client relationships.
- Understanding of statistical analytics methods and ability to apply these appropriately.
- Experience in data querying technologies (e.g., SQL) and programming languages for process automations (e.g., Python, VBA).
- Knowledge of data visualization/dashboarding technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Analytical and results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in agile methodologies.
- University degree preferred in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Big Data.
- Excellent written and spoken English with great communication skills.
- Experience in data governance, data stewardship, and data management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of new technologies and AI-powered tools in daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content creation).
Optional:
- Fluency in German, Dutch, or French would be an advantage.

- Manage data analytics consulting projects by proposing solutions, gathering business and technical requirements, and supervising implementation of data and technology solutions.
- Collaborate with team members on client projects to develop data-driven solutions for complex challenges, playing a pivotal role in project delivery and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in designing, developing, and implementing management information products, analytical solutions, and raw data extraction processes.
- Guide the team on quality validation techniques and ensure accurate data ingestion throughout the pipeline.
- Provide insights on transforming raw data into informative visualizations to support management decisions.
- Lead the development of data tools for transformation, management, and access.
- Advise the team on writing and validating code to enhance resilience of data storage and platform availability.
- Oversee implementation of performance monitoring protocols in data pipelines.
- Mentor the team on creating visualizations and aggregations to track pipeline health.
- Coach the team on implementing solutions to reduce failure points across multiple product features.
- Support identification of data governance requirements and oversee design of data modeling and handling processes to ensure legal and policy compliance.
- Manage data accessibility within pipelines.
- Prepare team members for stakeholder meetings and address data requirement concerns.
- Assist in evaluating data costs, access, usage, use cases, dependencies, and availability for business or customer scenarios related to product features.
- Coach staff members to develop data-related features further.
- Keep up with latest Technology and Anti Financial Crime trends and work on internal initiatives developing new value propositions for clients.
