Java Software Engineer - Evidence and Devices Engineering

The Evidence and Devices Engineering team is responsible for Motorola Solutions’ body cameras, vehicle cameras and evidence management software leveraged in public safety and enterprise applications worldwide. The company is a thriving and growing organization based in Krakow, Poland, seeking a Software Engineer to join their evidence management team.

• 2+ years of hands-on backend software development using Java.
• Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design patterns, and core software engineering principles.
• Experience creating meaningful automated tests using JUnit.
• Knowledge of testing and debugging software issues.
• Experience working with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of ORM technologies such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Execute the full software development lifecycle and provide support for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations.
• Apply software development practices to produce clean, modular, scalable, and testable code for the Java backend.
• Apply testing and debugging methods to resolve complex software issues.
• Work collaboratively with local and distributed teams in an Agile environment to enhance the product.
• Implement a range of new application features.
• Improve the performance, scalability, and modularity of the existing product.
