Senior Fullstack Developer (Kotlin, React)

Senior Fullstack Developer (with Kotlin, React) will join the team responsible for Digital Dealer, a product used by retailers and service advisors worldwide to enable efficient resale operations through accurate and optimised information for service employees. The role requires ownership of the full application lifecycle, from development through deployment to production, with a strong focus on delivering reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software in a production environment.

• Substantial experience in backend development using Kotlin, Java or a closely related language.
• Solid experience in frontend development with React or a comparable framework; familiarity with micro frontend concepts is required.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proven experience designing and working within microservices architectures.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab, and modern development practices including automated testing and code review.
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Demonstrated ability to work in trunk-based development workflows and to deliver high-quality code in a collaborative setting.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and willingness to incorporate agentic tools into daily processes.
• Ability to take ownership of technical tasks, work independently when required and contribute constructively in team settings.

• Design, implement and maintain microservices (Kotlin) and micro frontends (React) as part of a shared codebase.
• Deliver production-ready features and fixes, including writing automated tests and participating in code reviews.
• Improve system performance, stability and scalability through profiling, monitoring and targeted refactoring.
• Integrate internal and external services, ensuring robust error handling, security and observability.
• Operate and optimise CI/CD pipelines and participate in release and deployment activities.
• Work within a trunk-based development workflow and contribute to continuous integration practices.
• Design and maintain event-driven components and messaging integrations (e.g., Kafka).
• Apply AI-assisted and agentic workflows as part of daily development to increase productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues across engineering disciplines to define technical priorities, share knowledge and maintain high development standards.
