Software Engineer II

• Professional experience building backend applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong understanding of backend engineering fundamentals, including APIs, databases, testing, debugging, and application performance.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested Ruby code.
• Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks and collaborate effectively on complex challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with constructive feedback abilities.
• Proactive, growth-oriented mindset with curiosity to learn new tools, technologies, and approaches.
• Open to using generative AI tools in daily work to improve productivity and support engineering workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and contribute thoughtfully to engineering decisions.

• Join a collaborative, self-organizing engineering team focused on building and enhancing core backend functionality for the ITSM product using Ruby on Rails.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and application features in Ruby on Rails.
• Own features and bug fixes end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Work closely with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that improve customer experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and prototyping to evolve architecture and engineering practices.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, identify root causes, and contribute to automated tests and quality improvements to reduce regressions.
• Contribute to performance, reliability, and maintainability improvements across the Ruby on Rails codebase.
