Workflow Engineer (Agentic AI)

As a Workflow Engineer, you will be responsible for turning prioritized customer-service scenarios into reliable, production-ready AI workflows. The customer operates in the logistics industry, handling approximately 20 million customer queries via email annually across 200+ distinct business scenarios. They are entering a massive scale-up phase, aiming to automate about 15% of the annual global email volume.

• Strong programming skills in JVM-based languages: Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Proficiency in SQL, including data modeling, complex queries, and transformations
• Experience in system integrations (APIs, Kafka, event-driven architecture)
• Solid coding practices, including a strong emphasis on unit testing
• Analytical mindset with the ability to debug complex data issues end-to-end
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Very good English (B2/C1) – both written and spoken
• Openness to AI-assisted coding and a proactive approach to new technologies

• Designing and implementing end-to-end AI workflow orchestration
• Integrating data and systems using APIs and event streams (e.g., Kafka)
• Applying scenario logic and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) into the automated flow
• Developing SQL-based transformations and robust data models
• Building maintainable and testable code in Java, Scala, or Kotlin
• Collaborating closely with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Business Stakeholders
