PostgreSQL Database Administrator

We are currently looking for a candidate for the position of PostgreSQL DBA for our client from the banking industry.

• Strong hands-on experience as PostgreSQL DBA / Database Engineer
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals and performance optimization
• Experience with PostgreSQL in cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud)
• Hands-on experience with database migration projects
• Knowledge of replication, backup/recovery and HA concepts
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments

• Migrate PostgreSQL databases from on-premise environments to Google Cloud
• Manage and support PostgreSQL running on VM-based and managed cloud services
• Perform database upgrades, patching, tuning, and optimization
• Support onboarding of applications onto PostgreSQL platforms
• Troubleshoot incidents and support release/change activities
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and application teams
• Maintain operational documentation and procedures

Remote work with occasional visits to the office in Warsaw, once a quarter.
