Architect with Java (m/f/d)

Commerzbank is a leading international commercial bank with branches and offices in almost 50 countries. The Digital Architecture cluster is the central enterprise architecture unit of Commerzbank AG, defining target architecture, providing guidance to the cluster delivery organization, and participating in change projects. The Architecture App and Architecture Governance team develops and runs the central software product inventory for the bank, with teams located in Frankfurt and Łódź.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience or proof of another adequate qualification
• Deep knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, and other J2EE technologies and frameworks
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design/architecture to analyze business requirements and design solutions
• Good knowledge of containerization concepts
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and React to develop REST APIs based on internal coding standards and guidelines
• Good knowledge of Maven, TeamCity, and Git
• Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Basic knowledge of DevOps solutions in daily developer’s work

Nice to have:

• General understanding of Enterprise Architecture topics
• Basic knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
• Basic knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Basic knowledge of Secure Coding Practices

• Contribute to a cohesive vision for a user-friendly solution for the software product repository (Architecture App)
• Define, implement, and maintain application and reference solution designs
• Analyze solution patterns, identify primary components and subsystems, and collaborate with the internal framework team
• Participate in product design and implementation
• Address migration challenges and enhance the tech stack by developing innovative solutions
• Document and test completed work
• Ensure the overall quality of the product
• Participate in or manage cross-cutting projects and tasks within the Group Division, including strategic initiatives
• Foster constructive, customer- and service-oriented collaboration with internal clients and departments
• Promote initiative, motivation, teamwork, and service orientation within the team by setting clear expectations and providing timely, transparent information
