Senior Data Engineer

Scalo is involved in developing modern data platforms in the gaming and digital entertainment industry, working on strategic programs to improve data quality, stability, and governance. The company collaborates with international teams in a remote-first model and uses cloud-native environments with modern data platforms.

• Minimum 5 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines
• Understanding of data reliability, data quality, and operational excellence
• Experience with modern data ingestion frameworks and data modeling
• End-to-end ownership experience in data engineering
• Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders
• Proficient in English (minimum B2+)
• Experience in cloud environments and modern data platforms
• Commitment to high engineering standards, data quality, and long-term architectural approaches

Nice to have:

• Experience in gaming, media, digital products, or high-traffic platforms
• Knowledge of data governance and architectural standards
• Experience with platforms supporting analytics, AI, or Data Science

• Develop and stabilize scalable data pipelines used by League Studios, Publishing, and Esports
• Modernize data ingestion processes and migrate from legacy solutions to standardized data ingestion platforms
• Implement data quality mechanisms, SLA/SLO, and solutions to increase data reliability and observability
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and product teams to create analytics-ready data foundations
• Define and implement data governance standards in cooperation with the Data Architecture Working Group (DAWG)
• Work in cloud-native environments with batch and streaming ingestion pipelines
• Participate in Agile methodology within cross-functional teams
• Work 100% remotely
