Founded in 2002, the studio is known for shooter genre titles such as Painkiller, Bulletstorm, Gears of War: Judgment, and Outriders. Current projects include Gears of War: E-Day, Project Echo, and Lost Rift, with exploration into VR and other unannounced projects.
Wymagania
- Typically 5+ years of professional level design experience.
- At least one successful shipped AAA title on PC or console.
- Experience in level design theory and practice (chokepoints, routes, lines of sight, engagement distances).
- Experience working with shooter genre.
- Ability to process, understand, and implement feedback.
- Great understanding of creative and game development processes.
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 or 5 and Unreal Engine Editor.
- Proficiency with Atlassian software (JIRA, Confluence).
- Self-motivation.
- Good mentoring skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
- Experience with scripting languages and understanding of programming paradigms and concepts.
- Knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or similar 3D package.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
- Experience with Unreal Blueprint.
Obowiązki
- Blocking out and building levels as well as heavy iterating on them (playtesting and providing/implementing feedback).
- Collaborating with the art department to ensure levels are of the highest visual quality while retaining gameplay and fun.
- Collaborating with design and code teams to make maps as fun as possible and integrate new features into built-in levels.
- Full ownership from paper design, through whitebox phase, scripting, iteration, debugging, optimization until the game ships.
- Manage or supervise work of established Strike Teams.
- Bug fixing and describing case studies in the knowledge base.
- Sharing knowledge with less experienced peers.
- Occasionally support Lead in recruitment projects with HR collaboration.
- Occasionally onboard new hires.
- Spend 80% of time working in the Engine.
