Solutions Architect, AI + Security & Compliance, EMEA

This role is part of GitLab’s global Solutions Architecture Center of Excellence, a distributed team of subject matter experts focused on AI, application security, and monetization.

• Expert knowledge of GitLab’s product and customer personas.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AI, including designing or implementing AI-powered solutions or acting as an AI SME.
• Experience in technical pre-sales, software consulting, or similar roles connecting technology to business outcomes.
• Practical background in modern software development or operations, including CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
• Ability to design and explain technical architectures spanning multiple teams and software lifecycle phases.
• Skill in leading technical evaluations and workshops with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Openness to learning and growth; experience in adjacent domains like security, data, or cloud architecture is encouraged.

• Operate as an AI subject matter expert with a focus on Security & Compliance or Core DevOps.
• Lead technical discovery, architecture design, demos, and end-to-end evaluations (POC/POV) to validate GitLab as the preferred AI-powered DevSecOps platform.
• Drive AI-focused solution strategy, including competitive positioning and business value justifications.
• Own technical strategy and influence Customer Success Plans for assigned accounts, acting as the "technical CTO" for multi-team, multi-year transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to shape account strategies and ensure platform adoption.
• Provide advanced technical guidance during pre-sales, including tender and audit support, workshop design, and solving complex integration and implementation challenges.
• Translate customer feedback into product requirements, documentation improvements, and roadmap input, especially for AI, security, and platform capabilities.
• Create and share reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, best practice guides, and internal enablement content.
• Mentor other Solutions Architects and contribute to global initiatives and thought leadership.
