3D Artist (Mid-Senior)

Rustic Roost Studio is a co-development branch of Donkey Crew, working on titles within the Snail Games USA portfolio. The team works across multiple live and in-development projects, including large-scale survival and open-world games as well as stylized action and narrative experiences.

• At least 3 years of professional industry experience.
• Expert knowledge of Blender (or equivalent), Substance Painter, and Z-Brush.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine.
• Strong portfolio showing game-ready assets and PBR materials.
• Work samples showing hard-surface and organic sculpting skills.
• Portfolio pieces showing modular workflows, kit-based assets, and tileable sculpts.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Bonus Skills:

• Knowledge about construction principles, color theory, and composition.
• Experience with Substance Designer and Quixel Mixer.
• Ability to leverage generative AI tools to streamline asset creation.
• Experience with Perforce.

• Organize work effectively, plan asset production, identify pipeline improvements, and provide accurate time estimates for delivery.
• Create technical- and quality-reference assets.
• Create game-ready PBR models (both hardsurface and organic), balancing visual quality with performance requirements.
• Plan and execute modular kit-based assets.
• Integrate assets into the Unreal Engine repository.
• Research new tools and help optimize the pipelines.
• Mentor junior artists as needed, clarifying project vision and providing technical guidance.
