Junior Test Automation Engineer

Allegro is a technology company with a team based in Poznań, focusing on delivering high-quality software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and products. The team works with a large-scale platform including over 1000 microservices and an open-source data bus handling 300K+ requests per second.

• Basic practical experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Understanding of manual testing as a way to understand the product before automating.
• Knowledge of how web or mobile interfaces are built, comfortable with DOM, CSS selectors, or mobile view hierarchies.
• Willingness to write quality code, open to feedback, and willing to share knowledge.
• Keen eye for detail and a full-product perspective.
• Eagerness to continuously develop skills and update knowledge.
• Proficiency in English and Polish at B2 level or higher.

• Support the design and implementation of automated tests within the agreed technology stack, including execution and maintenance.
• Create and perform manual tests and collaborate with the team to define test criteria during new feature development.
• Actively participate in the entire product development cycle to identify edge cases, mutually exclusive requirements, or logic gaps.
• Report identified bugs and support backlog prioritization to ensure platform stability.
• Maintain the appropriate level of Quality Assurance within the team, particularly in SDLC processes.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers regarding test status reporting and with other Test Engineers within the domain.
• Write clean, easy-to-read, and easy-to-debug code while contributing to the definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD).
• Act as a "customer ambassador" by continuously evaluating the team’s work from the end-user's perspective.
