Integration Developer (API Specialist) - Freelance AI Trainer

Mindrift connects specialists with AI projects from major tech innovators, aiming to unlock the potential of Generative AI by leveraging real-world expertise globally. The role is part of the Tendem project, focusing on building robust system integrations within a hybrid AI and human environment.

• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in API integrations, automation, backend systems, or software development
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fields is a plus
• Strong experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and data exchange formats such as JSON
• Proven ability to design and manage integrations across multiple SaaS tools and business systems
• Solid background in database synchronization across platforms like Airtable, Google Sheets, and Notion
• Experience building reliable data pipelines with error handling, retries, and validation mechanisms
• Demonstrated experience building scalable, fault-tolerant integration systems across multiple services
• Strong understanding of API rate limits, pagination, authentication, and performance optimization techniques
• Experience with real-time versus batch processing pipelines and selecting appropriate architectures
• Experience integrating communication systems such as email, messaging APIs, and outreach automation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data consistency and reliability
• Self-directed work ethic with ability to troubleshoot and optimize integration workflows independently
• Portfolio or examples of integration systems or API-based projects is a plus
• English proficiency: Upper-intermediate (B2) or above

• Design and evaluate integrations between core business systems such as CRMs, ad platforms, and email tools
• Build and optimize workflows using APIs, webhooks, and real-time or batch data pipelines
• Connect and synchronize databases across platforms like Airtable, Google Sheets, and Notion
• Ensure reliable, real-time data transfer and consistency across systems and services
• Troubleshoot and improve data flow performance, latency, and failure handling
• Support integration of automated communication systems including messaging, outreach, or calling workflows
