Data and Financial Engineering Analyst

Mindbox is a tech-driven company connecting top IT talents with technology projects for leading enterprises across Europe. The role is within the Product Control Data and Financial Engineering Team, focusing on modernizing controls and analytics by building robust, automated solutions using Python and SQL, migrating legacy SQL Server logic to a scalable Python-based stack, and ensuring production-ready, policy-compliant outputs through collaboration with Technology teams.

• Strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL, writing maintainable, production-quality code.
• Proven knowledge of ETL/ELT development and relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
• Understanding of data modeling principles.
• Familiarity with Jira, Git, and test-driven development practices.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices including versioning, code reviews, testing, documentation, and release management.
• Experience working with financial data; familiarity with Product Control is an advantage.
• Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills in English.

• Design, build, and maintain automated solutions to enhance controls and analytical processes using Python and SQL.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines: ingest, transform, validate, and publish datasets for downstream applications.
• Ensure comprehensive understanding of data sourcing and lineage, including data quality checks and reconciliations.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business requirements and standard governance.
• Work with Technology teams to guarantee seamless integration, deployment, and support including access control, scheduling, and release processes.
• Promote programming and data literacy within the team through documentation, best practices, and peer support.
• Contribute to consistent and standardized data delivery across teams.
