Senior Pipeline/Release Engineer

We are a leading investment bank seeking a Senior Pipeline/Release Engineer to support our server-side engineering platform. This role will fill a short-term gap within an established team and will focus on building pipelines, release processes and automated testing for a large-scale C++ codebase, with supporting tooling written in Python.

• 5+ years of experience in release engineering, build engineering or CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of C++ build environments (e.g., large monorepos, complex dependencies)
• Proficiency in Python, particularly for build, test and automation tooling
• Experience with version control systems and automated testing frameworks
• Capability to work in a regulated, enterprise-scale environment
• Background in financial services or investment banking environments
• Familiarity with Linux-based server platforms
• Exposure to common CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity)
• Awareness of release governance and controlled production environments

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Cloud
• Familiarity with Gen AI in SDLC

• Own and support build, release and deployment pipelines for server-side systems
• Improve reliability and performance of CI/CD processes
• Maintain and enhance automated test frameworks (Python-based)
• Collaborate closely with C++ developers to ensure smooth integration and releases
• Troubleshoot build, packaging and environment issues across development and production
• Contribute to documentation and best practices around release management
