Expert Database Developer (PostgreSQL)

• Minimum 8 years of commercial experience with PostgreSQL (versions 14-17+) and higher technical education
• Experience with logical replication and index optimization
• Ability to work with large datasets and 24/7 environments
• Understanding of distributed system architecture
• Ability to diagnose and optimize performance issues
• Knowledge of join order in queries
• Experience with partitioning

• Work on a distributed data platform based on PostgreSQL supporting key high-availability systems operating without maintenance windows
• Federate data, perform zero-downtime migrations, and optimize large-scale processing
• Migrate legacy system from Informix to PostgreSQL
• Design and implement logical replication (publication/subscription) and zero-downtime migration
• Advanced work with postgres_fdw: distributed queries, sharding, data federation, pushdown optimization
• Performance optimization: indexes (Btree, GIN, GiST, BRIN), query plan analysis, SQL tuning
• Collaborate with high-availability architecture team and support backend teams
• Remote work with onboarding at Warsaw office
