Solution Architect (pharma; 100% remote)

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our Client's team focused on risk-based quality management (RBQM) projects. RBQM is a proactive approach focusing on the areas of greatest operational risk while maintaining quality and compliance and reducing low-value work. It reduces errors that matter to participant safety, study data reliability, and decisions based on study results.

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or equivalent role in software development
• Proven experience designing hybrid infrastructure solutions across on-premise and AWS cloud environments
• Mastery of architectural styles: microservices, serverless, event-driven, monolithic
• Deep understanding of SDLC, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipeline design
• Proficiency in identity management (IAM, OAuth, JWT), data encryption, GDPR and HIPAA compliance
• Experience defining IT strategy and technical roadmaps
• Experience assessing solutions, identifying gaps, and recommending strategic improvements
• Experience building system integrations and refactoring legacy applications
• Experience conducting PoCs and PoVs
• Ability to perform feasibility assessments and select third-party applications and technologies
• Experience driving execution of architectural improvements and roadmaps

• Design solutions across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS), focusing on web applications (frontend & backend), system integrations, and data architecture
• Master diverse architectural styles including microservices, serverless, event-driven, and monolithic designs
• Ensure production-readiness with expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and automated deployment pipelines
• Manage identity management (IAM, OAuth, JWT), data encryption, and compliance with GDPR or HIPAA
• Define IT strategy and technical roadmaps aligned with business division needs
• Assess current-state solutions, define future-state requirements, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
• Build system integrations and refactor legacy applications to modern standards
• Conduct solution architecture research including Proof of Concept (PoC) and Proof of Value (PoV)
• Perform feasibility assessments and facilitate selection of third-party applications and technologies
• Drive end-to-end execution of roadmaps and architectural improvements
