Senior Backend Engineer

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in product teams developing business-impacting tools.
• Proficient in Laravel, preferably with the latest PHP 8.x versions.
• Experience writing clean, readable code and automated tests (Unit & Feature).
• Knowledge of design patterns and pragmatic application based on business needs.
• Proficient in relational databases and SQL, specifically MariaDB and PostgreSQL.
• Analytical mindset with attention to performance, scalability, and technological risk anticipation.
• Ability to clearly document solutions and architectural decisions.
• Communicative English skills at minimum B2/C1 level for documentation, code, and communication.

Nice to have:

• Understanding of AWS/Azure cloud environments.
• Basic knowledge of Node.js, Snowflake, Java, or willingness to learn.
• Experience working with high-security or sensitive data systems (medical, financial sectors).

• Design and implement key functionalities in the flagship product and develop dedicated services, including an advanced financial module and patient recruitment engine.
• Act as the technical voice of reason during the creation of new features, supporting Product Owners by translating business vision into executable technical plans and providing reliable estimations.
• Create a robust safety net through unit and feature testing, promoting a culture of clean code.
• Maintain system health by identifying bottlenecks and optimizing existing solutions to ensure smooth operation even with large data sets.
