The role is within the Financial Engineering unit of Global Risk Analytics (GRA) at HSBC Technology Poland. It supports the development of analytic platforms for risk analysis and measurement, contributing to rapid prototyping and polished software development. The unit focuses on innovation and modernization of risk analytics in banking.


Wymagania

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, or Information Systems.
  • Senior experience building and testing applications in Python.
  • Experience programming in mathematical or engineering environments (e.g., MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of common design patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of testing principles.
  • Experience in Agile development and continuous integration practices.
  • Familiarity with algorithms for processing large datasets (e.g., Map/Reduce).

Nice to have:

  • Experience developing applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, or Python.

Obowiązki

  • Provide high-quality programming bandwidth within Financial Engineering.
  • Contribute to programming work in multiple prototyping teams.
  • Alternate between rapid prototyping of proof-of-concept platforms and development of polished software platforms for business use.
  • Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and modellers across project streams.
  • Actively contribute to an open, collaborative problem-solving environment critical to rapid prototyping.
