Backend Java Engineer

The project involves building innovative banking solutions as part of a team aiming to become the leading Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider in the UK, powered by innovative technology and strong financial stability.

• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development
• Proven experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Docker
• Excellent knowledge of AWS (deployment and configuration)
• Experience with message-driven architectures (Kafka, event sourcing)
• Success delivering in an agile environment
• Experience working in a highly secure application environment
• Ability to act as a subject matter expert and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding how to translate business objectives into data-driven insights

• Building and developing core banking backend components
• Writing clean, testable, and scalable Java code
• Collaborating within cross-functional teams
• Mentoring junior engineers and sharing knowledge across the team
• Contributing to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Maintaining high standards of code quality and engineering best practices
• Troubleshooting production issues and participating in the on-call rotation (approx. every 8 weeks)

• 2 days per month required on-site in Warsaw
