Java Developer (hybrid from Cracow)

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join a team developing modern, enterprise-scale digital solutions for an international financial services company.

Must have:

• Proven commercial experience with Java (versions 8, 11, or 17+)
• Strong expertise in Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
• Practical experience with RESTful services and microservices-based systems
• Knowledge of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments
• Strong English communication skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with messaging/event-streaming technologies like Kafka or MQ
• Background in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java
• Create and support scalable REST APIs and microservices
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and developers to deliver new functionalities
• Help design reliable, secure, and high-performing systems
• Work within Agile teams and contribute through CI/CD-based delivery processes
• Perform code reviews, implement automated testing, and assist with production support
• Drive improvements in development standards, tooling, and overall code quality
