Java Developer

After many years of developing our own product - Yieldbird, honored as a laureate of the Top25 Deloitte awards, the mission is to help tech companies build impactful products and scale their IT teams by boosting IT delivery performance. The role involves developing and maintaining Java-based services and REST APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to system architecture focused on reliability, security, and code quality. This is a hybrid position with office presence expected 6-8 days per month in Kraków.

• Advanced English in speaking and writing
• Strong commercial experience with Java (8+/11+/17+/21) and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, and SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle)
• Familiarity with React, MQ/Solace, Redis, and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, Maven/Gradle, and DevOps tooling
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, Jenkins, etc.)
• Understanding of application security and testing practices
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across distributed teams
• Self-driven, customer-oriented, and comfortable owning tasks end-to-end

• Develop and maintain Java backend services, REST APIs, and microservices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions
• Support production systems, resolve incidents, and troubleshoot issues
• Contribute to system architecture focused on performance and reliability
• Work in Agile teams using CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews
• Maintain technical documentation and improve engineering practices
• Act as a technical SME for application and support-related topics
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers

This is a hybrid position requiring presence in the Kraków office 6-8 days per month.
