Staff / Lead Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS/ (AI-first)

People More is a technology company working on projects for a large client base domestically and internationally. They build projects from scratch or partially, covering UX, UI, frontend, backend, and mobile development. They work directly with clients and support partners worldwide.

• 7+ years of production backend experience
• Strong production experience with Node.js / TypeScript and NestJS
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL including query plans, indexes, transactions, and raw SQL
• Experience with async/event-driven systems: queues, retries, idempotency, job processing
• Knowledge of security concepts: OAuth 2.0, RBAC/ABAC, OWASP, audit logs, secrets, permission boundaries
• Experience with multitenancy, data isolation, and RLS-style patterns
• Experience writing ADRs and leading architectural decisions
• Experience with agentic coding and a strong quality mindset
• Very good English and Polish

Nice to have:

• Experience building systems at real scale: high traffic, large user base, high availability
• Experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, structured logging, dashboards, alerting
• Cloud experience, preferably GCP/GKE
• Experience with Stripe/payments
• Backend-level LLM integrations

• Designing backend architecture for a scalable product
• Developing and maintaining backend services in Node.js / NestJS
• Leading technical and architectural decisions
• Building event-driven systems and queue-based processing
• Ensuring security, observability, and high code quality
• Supporting AI/LLM integrations on the backend side
• Using AI/agentic coding tools in day-to-day development work
