BIM Engineer | VIATechnik [ B2B] | Remote

VIATechnik is a technology company based in Chicago operating in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry, focusing on digital transformation of design and construction processes. They develop solutions based on BIM, VR/AR, and digital twin technology to transform traditional construction processes into a digital and more operationally efficient environment. The Poland team is responsible for software development and project support such as Voyager, including BIM implementation, data integration, and platform functionality development for global clients.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM/VDC on construction projects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience collaborating with electrical trade contractors.
• Very good knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience coordinating BIM/VDC on the construction side, not only design.
• Experience working on large commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to communicate with clients and technical teams.
• Experience coordinating work of other individuals or project teams.
• Very good work organization, ability to delegate tasks and meet deadlines.
• English language proficiency for daily work in an international environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with data center projects.
• Knowledge of scheduling, forecasting, or project budgeting processes.
• Experience with other building systems.
• Knowledge of practical aspects of investment implementation and constructability modeled systems.
• Experience managing BIM/VDC throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Portfolio of projects to present during recruitment.

Main challenge:

• Lead and coordinate BIM/VDC processes on large construction projects mainly in the USA market, focusing on data center projects and electrical installations.
• Collaborate with clients, general contractors, and international technical teams.
• Ensure quality of BIM models, resolve clashes, and timely project delivery according to construction schedules.

Daily tasks:

• Participate in coordination meetings with clients and general contractors.
• Coordinate and resolve clashes/issues in 3D models.
• Delegate tasks to international BIM/VDC teams.
• Verify quality of BIM models and technical documentation.
• Review and approve drawing production before client delivery.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously depending on stage and scale.
• Collaborate with teams producing electrical execution documentation.
• Ensure deliverables comply with construction schedules and client requirements.
