Junior Android Developer

Allegro is a large e-commerce company with a mobile development team focused on payments-related features and improvements for mobile applications. The team is based in Poznań and is part of Allegro Tech, which actively shares knowledge and participates in industry events.

• 1+ years of professional experience in native Android (Kotlin) mobile application development.
• Understanding of mobile application architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and efficient data handling.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Good communication skills in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
• Proactive problem-solving approach and passion for creating excellent user experiences.

Nice to have:

• Experience with large-scale, high-traffic mobile applications.
• Knowledge of reactive programming (e.g., RxJava/RxKotlin, Combine).
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and Coroutines.
• Experience with A/B testing frameworks.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong GitHub profile.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features for the Allegro Android application, ensuring high quality, performance, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other engineers to define and implement innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions to maintain high code quality standards.
• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies and industry trends.
• Be part of Allegro’s mobile community composed of more than 100 mobile developers, sharing knowledge and developing skills.
