Senior Oracle Database Engineer (DBA)

• 8-10 years’ experience in Oracle Database administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle 12c and 19c.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Golden Gate Microservices and Delphix.
• Design, implement, and manage Oracle Golden Gate replication solutions.
• Monitor and maintain Golden Gate replication processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform troubleshooting and resolve replication issues timely.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle technologies such as Real Application Cluster, Dataguard, and Grid Control.
• Expertise in both RAC and non-RAC database build, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Configuration and Management of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OMS).
• Experience in database refreshes and Database Patching.
• Solid experience in performance monitoring and tuning at instance and SQL level.
• Performance Tuning Expert with analysis of AWR, ADDM, ASH reports.
• Experience working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence.
• Expertise in backup and recovery scenarios.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB preferred.
• Hands-on experience in DB build, configuration, upgrade, migration, and patching.
• Strong Oracle and Linux security architecture knowledge.
• Good understanding and working knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible.
• Strong understanding of DR Test, ITSRP, and OAT process.
• Good working knowledge of Unix platforms; strong on Backup/Recovery RMAN and RAC.
• Extensive experience in database-related automation.
• Scripting skills in Shell and Python.
• Ability to manage major incidents and coordinate with Incident Management Function and Global Command Centre.
• Experience with other ITID technologies such as Unix, Middleware (WebSphere, Apache HTTP Server & Tomcat, IIS), and Databases (MS SQL, Sybase, DB2).
• Fluent English.

• Responsible for technical delivery of projects by providing technical and process guidance to project teams.
• Member of Database Support team and subject matter expert for the Oracle infrastructure team.
• Provide consulting on database Performance Monitoring, Tuning, and Optimization.
• Maintain High Availability setup, replication setups, and perform Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning.
• Meet delivery standards including quality of deliverables and documentation.
• Stabilize Oracle environments demonstrating ownership, commitment, and sense of urgency.
• Proactively review information with service level agreements to identify capacity issues and specify required changes.
• Work with application teams to agree and implement short- and medium-term modifications to demand.
• Assess, analyze, develop, document, and implement changes based on requests for change.
• Understand functional requirements and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide troubleshooting support in incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Take appropriate measures to improve and sustain high quality.
