PEGA Senior/Lead System Architect

Our client has selected Pega as the leading platform for implementing its digitalization strategy. The first project will be the implementation of the visa application process to streamline application and processing procedures for visas at over 200 embassies. The project is launching with a greenfield approach, with the first production launch planned for the end of 2026. The team will grow steadily in the coming months. The role is part of an international delivery team contributing hands-on to the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Pega solutions.

• Pega SSA or LSA certification (mandatory)
• 4+ years of hands-on Pega development experience
• Proven experience in designing and developing enterprise Pega applications
• Practical experience with Pega 8.x (case types, flows, UIs, rules, data pages)
• Strong understanding of integrations: REST, SOAP, file-based interfaces
• English B2+ (mandatory)
• German (nice to have)
• Personal security clearance (nice to have)
• Experience in the German public sector (nice to have)

• Design, build and maintain application components on Pega platform
• Implement end-to-end case lifecycle, data model, integrations (REST/SOAP), business logic, and UI
• Ensure full adherence to Pega guardrails, design patterns and best practices
• Participate in solution design, estimations, and refinement sessions
• Conduct code reviews, provide guidance to SAs and junior developers (SSA/LSA level)
• Cooperate closely with Business Architects, QA and DevOps specialists
• Contribute to continuous improvement, DevOps practices and engineering standards
• For LSA level: provide architectural leadership, oversee technical direction, support parallel delivery streams
