Senior Frontend Engineer

Zendesk AI Agents is focused on building AI products that redefine how businesses and users interact, powering billions of conversations with brands globally. The role involves working within a team that includes Product Managers, AI and Machine Learning Engineers/Scientists, and Backend developers to deliver features emphasizing speed, reliability, and user experience.

• Experienced engineer with a product mindset and strong communication skills.
• Confident with Web Standards and understanding of browser and internet inner workings.
• Regular practice of writing tests and promoting a testing culture within the team.
• Excellent programming skills in TypeScript and React or similar frameworks (Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Experience with server-side, infrastructure, and micro-frontends is a plus.
• Ability to identify and solve performance bottlenecks with realistic solutions.
• Commitment to engineering best practices and focus on end-user and team.
• Enjoy mentoring others and know when to ask for help.
• Open to feedback as a tool for growth and encouraging growth in others.
• Curious and continuously learning new skills.
• High proficiency in English.

• Maintain and develop the Zendesk AI Agents platform using TypeScript, React, and other modern libraries.
• Proactively suggest and implement improvements in codebase and architecture, including code changes, testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
• Contribute to modularization and scalable architecture solutions for new and existing components.
• Build user-friendly frontend applications to help clients design conversations and automate workflows.
• Collaborate closely with development team members to ensure new product features are stable and intuitive.
• Learn and experiment with new tools and technologies to develop product features, improve UX, and reduce code complexity.
• Stay updated on industry trends to help drive innovation.
