Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator (Windows Engineer)

1dea is a recruitment and IT outsourcing company focusing on expert and managerial positions. The company is based in Poland and operates globally through an international network. It covers sectors including IT, Transport, Spedition, Logistics, Property & Construction, and Tax & Legal.

• Minimum 6 years of general IT industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience as a Windows Engineer.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
• Possession of a Microsoft Windows Server related certification or equivalent.
• Experience administering Windows Server 2016 or newer in virtualized environments.
• Experience managing complex, distributed IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols: SMTP, NTP, DNS, LDAP, DHCP.
• Practical knowledge of networking, security, and system services for Windows Server OS.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or related languages.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL processes (Change, Configuration, and Release Management).
• Experience working in secure isolated/tiered environments.
• Experience provisioning virtual machines in VMware or Nutanix environments.
• Experience with DevOps operations in Azure cloud.

• Administer and monitor systems and services based on Windows Server (2016 or newer) in a virtualized environment.
• Monitor infrastructure, analyze alerts, and manage backup and data recovery processes.
• Install, update, and configure system components and server software.
• Create scripts to automate and configure Windows Server environments.
• Participate in system architecture design and reviews.
• Provide consultancy in capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, and IT security.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues (2nd line support and coordination with 3rd line support).
• Create and update technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Implement changes according to ITIL Change Management procedures.
