Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator (Windows Engineer)

Senior Microsoft Systems Administrator (Windows Engineer) supporting Cloud Computing services for a prestigious European Agency. The role involves working on a stable, long-term international project with a focus on Windows Server environments and virtualization.

• Current personal security clearance at minimum RESTREINT UE / EU RESTRICTED level.
• Higher education: Bachelor's degree or minimum 3 years of higher education confirmed by diploma.
• Minimum 6 years of general IT experience.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience as a Windows Engineer.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
• Certification related to Microsoft Windows Server or equivalent.
• Experience administering Windows Server 2016 or newer in virtualized environments.
• Experience managing complex, distributed IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols: SMTP, NTP, DNS, LDAP, DHCP.
• Practical knowledge of networking, security, and system services for Windows Server OS.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or related languages.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL processes (Change, Configuration, and Release Management).
• Experience working in secure isolated/tiered environments.
• Experience provisioning virtual machines in VMware or Nutanix environments.
• Experience with DevOps operations in Azure cloud.

• Administer and monitor systems and services based on Windows Server 2016 or newer in virtualized environments.
• Monitor infrastructure, analyze alerts, and manage backup and data recovery processes.
• Install, update, and configure system components and server software.
• Create scripts to automate and configure Windows Server environments.
• Participate in system architecture design and reviews.
• Provide consultancy in capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, and IT security.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues, supporting 2nd line and coordinating with 3rd line support.
• Create and update technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Implement changes according to ITIL Change Management procedures.

• Work location: Warsaw (70% on-site at client office, 30% remote within the EU).
• In exceptional business or emergency situations, on-site service location may change to another client facility within the EU.
• In extraordinary situations, arrival at client site required within 4 calendar days of request.
• Start date earliest August 1, 2026, with up to 1 month notice period accepted.
