PHP Engineer

Lendable is a fintech company on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. It is one of the UK’s newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people, profitable since 2017, and backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. The company has rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards, and car finance, aiming to serve the UK and US markets.

Essential:

• 3+ years experience with PHP
• Modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must)
• High degree of ownership and autonomy
• Good understanding of a modern PHP framework like Symfony or Laravel
• Strong automatic testing skills (unit, integration, functional, Behat)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, and Event Sourcing
• Experience working on financial systems
• Desire to learn and contribute to a highly collaborative team

• Build and integrate new APIs to enhance the customer journey
• Optimize lending platforms
• Engage in deep architectural discussions
• Take ownership across a broad remit and make decisions impacting the company's direction and success
