Junior Data Scientist

Uber is expanding its Team in Krakow, focusing on Data Science, Data Analytics & Automation as part of the Krakow Center of Excellence, aiming to become a major Technology Hub in Central & Eastern Europe.

• Knowledge of causal inference, experimentation, and econometrics statistics methods
• Ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments to infer causality and estimate effects
• Understanding of statistical modeling and ML methods (neural networks, naive Bayes, SVM, decision forests, etc.)
• Skilled in SQL and Python (Pandas Library, basics of OOP and API endpoints)
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks, tools & libraries such as scikit-learn and scipy
• Ability to engineer features, deploy models, and improve them
• Ability to visualize and report findings to Stakeholders, adapting communication to various audiences
• Motivation to learn continuously

• Formulate business questions into testable hypotheses and rigorous experimental designs
• Collect and clean data, analyze experiments, infer causality and estimate effects
• Use Statistical Modeling and Machine Learning to find patterns and make predictions from large datasets
• Engineer features, deploy models and improve them as needed
• Visualize and report findings to Stakeholders, adapting communication to various audiences
• Deliver work iteratively and incrementally ensuring code quality, reusability, optimization, and robust, valid, reliable, scalable analyses
• Work on projects involving Market Expansion, Market Health models, Audits, Document Processing using techniques such as RCTs, ML models, regression discontinuity design, reinforcement control learning, NLP, and OCR
