Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

The project involves building, maintaining, and optimizing a cloud data platform to support analytics, big data processing, and ETL/ELT pipelines in the insurance industry (UK).

• Minimum 6-7 years of experience as a DevOps engineer
• Strong experience with AWS DevOps using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), preferably supporting scalable data platforms (Databricks preferred, Snowflake acceptable)
• Practical experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions for infrastructure and data workloads
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization (Docker)
• Experience with monitoring and observability using CloudWatch and Grafana
• Experience supporting dbt pipelines and workflow orchestration with Airflow or similar tools (Prefect/Dagster)
• Basic skills in Python and SQL to collaborate with data engineering teams
• Experience collaborating with data teams on infrastructure management and optimization of lakehouse/warehouse environments and ETL/ELT processes
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level for international work environment

• Create and maintain scalable data infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data processes using Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions
• Deploy and maintain data services in Docker containers and manage Kubernetes clusters (Amazon EKS)
• Monitor and ensure reliability and performance of data pipelines and systems using CloudWatch and Grafana
• Orchestrate and maintain data workflows, supporting dbt pipelines and using Airflow or similar tools (Prefect/Dagster)
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize lakehouse/data warehouse environments and ETL/ELT processes
• Implement DevOps and DataOps best practices to reduce maintenance costs and increase platform stability
