Java Developer

Scalo is involved in the development of one of the largest and most modern mobile applications in Poland, undergoing transformation from a monolith to a microservices architecture in the cloud using Java, Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in backend development with Java (Java 8/11/17) and Spring Boot
• Knowledge of REST, Hibernate/JPA, design patterns, and Clean Code principles
• Experience with Git and CI/CD (Jenkins or GitLab CI)
• Basic knowledge of Docker, relational databases (SQL), and solutions like Redis or Hazelcast
• Technical English communication skills
• Willingness to learn, share knowledge, and work in a team

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP), Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Experience with large-scale systems
• Experience with monitoring tools
• Experience with Jira and Confluence

• Participate in the development of backend including design, coding, and testing
• Build microservices and develop new business functionalities
• Refactor code and implement good programming practices
• Create unit, integration, and contract tests
• Work with modern CI/CD tools, containerization, and cloud solutions
• Document solutions and participate in technical and integration analyses
• Work in an agile team supported by Analysts, Product Owners, and DevOps
• Work in a hybrid model: 2 days per week in the office in Warsaw (Center)
