Senior Software Engineer (RUX team)

Remitly Poland sp. z o.o. is a company focused on providing secure, simple, and reliable global money transfer services since 2011. The role is part of the Regional Growth team within the Europe & APAC Growth organization, aiming to expand and accelerate Remitly’s global growth by unlocking new markets and strengthening performance in existing ones.

• 6+ years of experience building features used by millions of users.
• Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Golang, or similar.
• Skilled in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and React Native, with practical expertise in Server-Side Rendering.
• Experience creating and implementing plans for app rollout, experimentation, instrumentation, and supportability.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
• Willingness to learn new challenges frequently introduced by the domain.

Nice to have:

• Commercial experience with React Native and native app development.
• Experience working in a corporate web and mobile environment with high-scale systems.
• Experience in payment systems integration (e.g., Blik, Bizum).
• Experience with integrations with identity verification vendors like GBG, Taktile, Onfido.

• Lead and design large-scale web and mobile architectures.
• Manage complex, team-level projects from idea to completion, including defining requirements, dividing work into manageable tasks, and directing team members.
• Collaborate across teams (engineering, marketing, and product) to deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions.
• Write integrations with local payment systems and local identity verification services.
• Build and evolve systems to prevent fraud and ensure safe, trusted money transfers at scale.
• Own features with real customer impact, influencing user experience.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, design discussions, and pairing sessions.
• Drive improvements in code quality, reliability, observability, and adoption of modern tooling.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
