Senior Fullstack Software Development Engineer (RUX team)

Remitly Poland sp. z o.o. is a company focused on providing secure, simple, and reliable global money transfer services since 2011. The role is part of the Regional Growth team aiming to expand and accelerate Remitly’s global growth by unlocking new markets and strengthening performance in existing ones, focusing on scaling fast, reliable, and compliant money-movement experiences.

• 6+ years of experience building features used by millions of users.
• Experience building and optimizing large-scale web architectures.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Golang, or similar.
• Skilled in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and React Native, with practical expertise in Server-Side Rendering.
• Experience creating and implementing plans for app rollout, experimentation, instrumentation, and supportability.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.).
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Nice to have:

• Commercial experience with React Native and native app development.
• Experience working in a corporate web and mobile environment with high-scale systems.
• Experience in payment systems integration (e.g., Blik, Bizum).
• Experience with integrations with identity verification vendors like GBG, Taktile, Onfido.

• Lead and design large-scale web and mobile architectures.
• Manage complex, team-level projects from idea to completion, including defining requirements, dividing work into manageable tasks, and directing team members.
• Collaborate across teams (engineering, marketing, and product) to deliver scalable, user-friendly solutions.
• Write integrations with local payment systems and local identity verification services.
• Build and evolve systems to prevent fraud and ensure safe, trusted money transfers at scale.
• Own features with real customer impact, influencing user experience.
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, design discussions, and pairing sessions.
• Drive improvements in code quality, reliability, observability, and adoption of modern tooling.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
