Specialist / Senior Technical Artist (Frostpunk 1886)

11 bit studios S.A. is hiring for a Specialist / Senior Technical Artist to work on Frostpunk 1886, collaborating closely with artists and programmers to create high-quality materials and technical art solutions using UE5.

• Good knowledge of UE materials and shading workflows.
• Solid understanding of the UE5 rendering pipeline, including PBR and post-processing.
• Experience with UE Blueprints for tools or gameplay-supporting systems.
• Practical approach to problem-solving and a good understanding of optimization.
• For senior position: at least one shipped title or completed commercial project.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of VFX or lighting.
• Experience with procedural workflows (e.g. Substance Designer or other node-based tools).
• Familiarity with shader languages such as HLSL or GLSL.
• Background in 3D software such as Blender, 3ds Max, or Maya.
• Experience working closely with both artists and programmers.

• Create high-quality materials and shaders in UE5.
• Build and maintain Blueprint- and code-based tools for the art team.
• Create and update documentation for tools, workflows, and engine limitations.
• Help with optimization, profiling, and debugging in the final product.
• Work with Art Leads, Technical Directors, programmers, and QA to ensure assets meet technical requirements.
