Data Engineer

ITFS is a consulting company from the Tricity area with a branch in Warsaw. It focuses primarily on IT specialist recruitment and creating project-based Software House solutions for clients from Poland and Western Europe.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Engineering
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, query and performance optimization)
• Proficiency in Python (pipeline creation, data validation, orchestration frameworks)
• Good knowledge of AWS cloud (S3, EKS, Glue, Athena) and distributed processing tools (e.g., Spark, Athena)
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data modeling (dimensional modeling, data warehouse patterns, repeatable transformations)
• Familiarity with best practices: Git workflows, code review, testing, and CI/CD
• Ability to effectively use LLM/AI agents
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level (work in an international environment)

Nice to have:

• Workflow orchestration tools (e.g., AWS Step Functions, Prefect, Dagster)
• Modern data stack (ELT patterns, data lakehouse, semantic layers, data governance)
• Implementing automated data quality frameworks, pipeline observability, and streaming (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Pub/Sub)

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration, transformation, and delivery
• Creating and optimizing distributed data processing workflows in Python at large scale
• Managing PostgreSQL structures and optimizing queries for analytics and reporting
• Orchestrating, validating, and delivering data between environments using Python
• Designing and managing AWS data infrastructure and ensuring data quality (tests, alerts, observability)
• Collaborating with business and analysts
• Maintaining documentation (data models, data lineage, infrastructure) and diagnosing and fixing pipeline failures
